With separate handles for volume and temperature control, this Delta tub/shower provides a more refined showering experience. Simply set the water at your preferred temperature and turn the shower on or off with the volume control handle - without interrupting your set temperature. Delta® thermostatic valves use TempAssure® Technology to protect you and your family from sudden temperature changes. Chrome has rapidly become one of the most popular finishes across décor styles in the bath thanks to its stunning gloss and innate versatility. Paired with crisp lines and bright whites, it creates a bold, modern contrast, but it works equally well with vintage styles and traditional spaces to convey a hint of nostalgia.

Q&A
Is there a way to increase temperature span?
I would like to be able to go from regular temperature shower to cold shower. The temperature band doesn't allow this.

Thank you for your question. The front dial of the handle is designed, to adjust the temperature on the Delta Trinsic TempAssure T17T059 model. This front dial moves independently of the bigger handle (controls the volume of water), for adjust for hotter or colder water either before or during showering.

Is the rough valve all I need to add to this item for installation?
In other words this item includes the Thermostatic cartridge and the extension kit and there is nothing else I need.

Thank you for your question. An R10000 rough-in valve will be all you need to install this trim. The cartridge is included.

Is the cartridge made of plastic or ceramic? If plastic, which series of Delta shower valves has a ceramic cartridge?

Is there a way to remove the facing so I can adjust the maximum tempature? I don't see any screws to remove the handles, and it doesn't seem to twist off.

How do you remove the temp control knob to adjust the temperature without breaking it!!??

Thank you for your question, and I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing an issue with your Delta faucet. To remove the temperature cover, pull the cover straight off by hand. Once the cover is off, unscrew the Philips screw counterclockwise to remove the control knob.

What's the main difference between this valve and the valve included in TRINSIC® Monitor® 17 Series H2Okinetic® Shower Trim?
Thank you for your question, Jose! Model T17T059 is a thermostatic valve trim, that takes an RP47201 cartridge assembly. The TRINSIC® Monitor® 17 Series H2Okinetic® Shower Trim, is a pressure balanced valve trim that looks identical to model T17T059, but takes an RP46463 cartridge instead of the RP47201.
