Rated 1 out of 5 by from Leaky valve This is made of cheap plastic, and it started dripping just 3 months after installation. I replaced the cartridge, and it is still leaking. I'm planning to replace this whole valve with Kohler or something better.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not worth the money So far not impressed. No water comes out until the valve is over halfway open. I'll be taking it out AGAIN and going to supplier to see what they say. The snap on temperature handle seems to be getting sloppy already and the screen printing on the cover is unreadable.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Shower handle Very nice. Beautiful and functional.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from The faucet has worked only for 2 years The faucet was installed in 2020. Looked and worked nice, and now it doesn't allow the flow of hot water at all. Unacceptable! I would not recommend it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great functioning shower handle Works very well to adjust pressure and temperature.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Rare find Exactly what I was looking for. Good instructions.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Flawed Design The faucet has a center screw which really holds the entire thing together. This screw has a tolerance window, if you tighten it too much to hold it in place, then the cover doesn't fit. If you make it too loose, the handle doesn't turn. So, even though you can dial it in perfectly, use by any normal standard loosens the screw eventually and the thing breaks. It is really disappointing. LIke, super disappointing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from All positive! Delta quality, smooth action, temperature regulated. What’s not to love? And in our perfect color!

Q&A

Does the Trinsic Monitor® 17 Series Valve Only Trim have a ceramic or plastic cartridge? John L. Greenbelt, MD

Asked by: solarjack
Hi, solarjack! Thank you for your question. The valve cartridge assembly that this comes with is plastic. Best Regards, Rosanna

If I pair a Trinsic Monitor Series 17 trim/cartridge kit with a R10000-PXWS rough valve body and a 2.5 gpm shower head, will the Delta valve restrict flow-rate to the shower head to 1.75 gpm or will I be able to get 2.5 gpm?

Asked by: tovodeverett
Hello Tovodeverett, Thank you for your question. The Delta Multichoice Universal Rough-In R10000-PXWS valve will not restrict the flow rate of a 2.5 GPM shower head. Best regards, Tanya

Rain shower head with trim?

I want to use a rain shower head (delta RP50841) overhead and control the pressure and temperature using this Trinsic 17 Series MC Valve Trim. Will this work? Do I need any other parts to do this?
Asked by: Lise
Hi Lise, You can use the raincan showerhead part number RP50841 with the trim T17059. The only thing extra that you will need is a shower arm such as RP46870 and a showerarm flange such as RP46872.

I plan to buy the Trinsic 17 Series MC Valve Trim. I need to know exactly the "rough" valve for it and for the Trinsic 3-function diverter valve.

I'm having a hard time finding online both the Trinsic 17 Valve Trim and the Trinsic 3-function diverter trim and figuring out which "rough" valves match these trims. Also, the style of the 3-function diverter isn't an exact match to that of the 17. Any reason for that? I can send photos if requested.
Asked by: Don
Thank you for your question. We recommend using Delta Faucet model R10000-UNBX with your T17059. For your diverter rough-in valve, we recommend the R11000. If you are adding one feature to your shower, we suggest the T11859 diverter trim. If you are adding 2 features to your shower, we suggest the T11959 diverter trim. Both of these models are in the Trinsic series.

What is the preferred valve to use with a T17059 trinsic valve trim. It will be for shower only, no tub, and we will be using the Emerge 26” shower column. We are wanting to replace our old valve . Thanks!

Asked by: Julie
Thank you for your question, Carole! Model T17059 is intended to be used with any of the Universal MultiChoice valves, however, for a shower-only installation we would recommend the R10000-UNBXHF (High Flow) which will come pre-fabricated with a capped tub spout for the highest possible GPM. https://www.deltafaucet.com/bathroom/product/R10000-UNBXHF Best regards, Edward

I currently have Series 1700 Delta shower faucets in my shower. They were installed in 2001. Can I only replace the trim not the actual faucets? If so, Is there a chart available to show matches? Thanks.

Asked by: Joel
Hello, Thank you for your question! You can install any new trim kit and tub spout onto your existing rough-in valves. However, you must use the existing cartridges and not the one included in a new trim kit. Please reach out with further questions! Best Regards, Tim Digital Communications Specialist

I’m installing a single shower head setup. Want matching look of other bathroom that has a T27T959 valve. Will be using an R10000-UNBXHF valve. Want max flow and pressure - do I go with T17059 or T17T059? What’s the difference between the two?

Asked by: Mtka Mike
Hello Mtka Mike, There is in fact a big difference between the two. The T17059 is a regular monitor 1700 series. The T17T059 is from the same Trinsic collection but with a thermostatic cartridge. TempAssure Thermostatic valves monitor the temperature of the water and adjust the mix automatically to maintain precise temperature control and to keep the water temperature in your shower within a safe ±3° F (±1.6° C). This provides a more consistent temperature than pressure balanced valves can supply. TempAssure valves also feature an adjustable high-temperature limit stop that when properly set helps ensure the handle cannot be turned to a position that is too hot for comfort. And because TempAssure measures the temperature of water, the handle limit stop will not need to be adjusted for seasonal ground water temperature changes. This information can but found under the smart solutions tab. Once your there you can click on Tempassure tab. Below is a link to this same information. https://www.deltafaucet.com/design-innovation/innovations/shower/tempassure-valve--monitor-valve Best regards, Tanya

I don't want to replace my older 1700 series rough in, will this work using the RP32104 cartridge?

I don't want to have to pay a plumber to come out and swap rough ins. I do need to replace the cartridge and believe that the RP32104 is correct as it has the square key instead of the triangle the new ones have. Will this valve work with that cartridge?
Asked by: ryanoutloud
Hi Ryanoutloud, Thank you for your question. If your 1700 series faucet is older than February 2006 and the top of the cartridge is white then the RP32104 is the correct replacement cartridge. If newer than February 2006 and the cartridge has a gray top then RP46463 would be the correct part. Thanks, Dave
