Rated 3 out of 5 by from Chrome rubs off. We purchased the chrome tub filler set with this hand shower for our new construction 2 yrs ago. The main faucet components are fine but the hand shower is cheap plastic and the chrome has rubbed off. I'm having to replace it only 2 yrs later. My builder doesn't have our receipts, and didn't file warranty, so I'm having to buy new. Keep your receipt for the hand shower - you will need it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ain't nothing like the real thing baby.... [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We just completed our master bathroom and used all Delta fixtures. Oh what a joy it now is to come home after a long day at work and step into the shower. We use a mixture valve for the overhead shower and the handshower at the same time with plenty of pressure for both. The handshower contour makes for an easy grip while giving our dog a shower. Yep, we love using the real thing.

Q&A

What is the spray pattern/angle off of the face of the shower head? Is it directly downward if the stem is mounted perfectly vertical?

I am trying to see what angles this may need to be rotated - and if the accompanying bar mount or single wall mount allow for a lot of rotation.
Asked by: Jason
Hi Jason, Thank you for your question. The spray pattern of the model RP52589 showerhead is a full body spray. The spray pattern will be close to vertical when mounted to the wall. Thanks, Dave

I have a Delta Dryden RP52589 hand shower, and the rubber nozzles that create the shower spray are breaking off (New in 2010). Is that part of the hand shower replaceable, or does the whole hand shower need to be replaced?

I believe my hand held unit is part # RP52589.  The water pressure from this hand held unit is terrible, not enough to give a good rinse.  Is there a way to remove the flow restricter to increase the pressure?

Asked by: Jim VB
Hello Valued Customer, Thank you for contacting Delta Faucet Company! Our RP52589 has a maximum flow rate of 1.75 GPM at 60 PSI. The flow restrictor is built inside of the hand shower, and is not designed to be removed. Please note that any modifications to our products will result in a void of the warranty coverage. We appreciate your inquiry. Please reach out directly if you have further questions! Best Regards, Kyra Digital Communications Specialist

I have a Hand Shower 55051-ss. Is there a recommended method/procedure to clean the area where the water exits the hand shower. The water spays in differ directions. I believe there is calcium build-up in the rubber area. Thanks.

Can the water restricter be removed from the handheld wand and how? I see a green disk with a black o-ring at the inside base that connects to the hose.
