Decorative, Secure, two functions
I have one 418xx grab bar installed vertical for shower wand (secured to double as a grab bar), and one horizontal for shower and shower seat grab bar function. Had pre-blocked shower walls for the grab bars so install was straightforward (takes a while to drill the 1/4” inch holes through the tile). Increased one hole size to 5/16” for wiggle/toom to adjust for level. I upgraded my screws to #12 square head from #10 phillips supplied. Decided not to use the Delta 417xx as mounting flange is not an integral part of the grab bar and found 417 install difficult vs the 418. Am installing another 418 as a toilet grab bar. The 418 has the same non-stud toggle mount as the 417 but with 418 integral flange install should be straightforward than with the 417.

36" in chrome looks classy
The style is neutral enough to fit anywhere. The trim is clean and covers the screws well. The chrome finish is pretty with white tile shower. Doesn't look industrial or institutional.

Can this grab bar be used as a shower slide bar with an attached hand-held shower head?
If so, what hand-held shower head will work with this bar?
Hi Lynne, Thank you for your question. The 41836 grab bar can be used as a slide bar. You will need the U6300 ADA grab bar handshower mount and any of our handshowers to make a complete slide bar/grab bar hand shower.

Is there a 42" ADA Grab Bar in the Trinsic Collection? For a commercial bath I would like a 36" at the wall behind the Toilet, and a 42" to the adjacent wall
