My neighbors heard me mfing this grab bar.
This is over engineered. Installation is next to impossible with the required alignment of set screws. Do not purchase this grab bar. Regardless of the instructions and template it sucks. It’s obvious the design team never actually installed this grab bar.

Excellent Quality
All required fasteners are included. Layout measurements have to be exact. Had to shorten the hollow wall anchor as it would not insert past the thickness of the tile / drywall. Looks great, but the install requires perfection.

If 41636 and 41736 can not be cut to 30", does Delta make a non-industrial looking, 30", chrome, 1-1/4" bar?

Thank you for your question on the Delta 36" Transitional Decorative ADA Grab Bar and I am more than happy to assist you today.
Unfortunately at this time, it appears that we do not carry a 30" x 1 1/4" ADA grab bar in the Chrome finish without it being a Commercial style bar, like the following and this is only available in the Stainless Steel finish: 41130-SS.
It may be possible that our sister company Liberty Hardware may carry a Delta 30" x 1/14" ADA compliant bar in the Chrome finish. Please feel free to visit their website at http://www.libertyhardware.com/ or you may call them at 800-542-3789.

Can the bar be cut down to 30"?
Hi Wisteria, Thank you for your question. Unfortunately the model 41736 grab bar cannot be cut down to 30". The next smaller size is the 24" model 41724.

Why don't you publish actual flange dimensions?
It would be nice if you actually had proper mounting flange drawings properly dimensioned.

Can I install this vertically with a hand shower and adjustable hand shower bracket?

Thank you for your question. The Delta 41736-BL grab bar can be installed vertically. Here is a link to the instruction manual for the unit:

Unfortunately, we do not have a hand shower mount that will fit this grab bar as it is an oval shaped bar and 1 1/4"(32 mm).
